No. 1 UNC Greensboro (25-7) vs. No. 5 Wofford (21-11)
--It will mark the second-straight season the Spartans and Terriers will square off in the SoCon semifinals for the second-straight season, with UNCG claiming 77-73 win to advance on to the title game.
-- The Spartans hold an 18-18 all-time record in the Southern Conference Tournament, while the Terriers are 19-15 all-time in the SoCon Tournament.
--Wofford is 4-2 all-time in the semifinal round of the Southern Conference Tournament, while UNCG holds a 3-3 mark all-time in semifinal contests.
--UNCG claimed both regular-season meetings with the Terriers, knocking off Wofford 76-66 in Spartanburg on Feb. 20, as well as collecting a 71-67 on Dec. 30 at the Greensboro Coliseum. Sunday's meeting with the Terriers will mark the seventh time the two have played in the Southern Conference Tournament, with the Terriers holding the 4-2 edge in tournament tilts. --Fletcher Magee and Francis Alonso are both single-season record-holders for their respective programs, with both holding the school record for made three-pointers in a single-season for their resepective programs. Magee (137) and Alonso (106) to combine for 243 made triples so far this season.
--UNCG's 72-58 win over The Citadel yesterday helped the Spartans tie a school-record for wins, matching last year's 25 victories. Wofford now has four 20-win seasons under 16th-year head coach Mike Young.
No. 2 East Tennessee State (24-8) vs. No. 3 Furman (23-8)
--Furman matched a school record for wins established two other times with its 23rd win in a 97-73 win over No. 6 Western Carolina in Saturday night's final quarterfinal matchup at the US Cellular Center. The Paladins tied the 1980 and 2017 teams with its 23 wins.
--ETSU matced a school-record for consecutive victories earlier this season, winning 16-straight before falling at UNC Greensboro. The Bucs tied the 2003-04 SoCon champion Buccaneers with those 16-straight wins.
--ETSU hold a 36-20 all-time record in the Southern Conference Tournament action, while Furman has posted a 51-58 all-time mark in the league tournament. The Bucs are 4-1 all-time against the Paladins in SoCon Tournament play, including having won four-straight. The last time Furman defeated ETSU in the league tournament was in the 1980 semfinal round in Roanoke, VA. That was also the last time the Paladins went on to the NCAA Tournament, and the victory marked the program's 22nd of a 23-win campaign. ETSU vs. Furman Tournament meetings are listed below. Four of the now six meetings between the Bucs and Paladins in the conference tournament have come at the penultimate stage. In those three other meetings in SoCon semifinals, the victor has gone on to win the league crown just once, which was Furman in 1980. The Bucs did go on to win the Southern Conference Tournament at the N. Charleston Coliseum following a 94-84 win over the Paladins in the 2004 quarterfinals

--Did you know Furman current Director of Basketball of Operations, Robby Bostain, was a player on both the 2004 and '05 teams that dropped SoCon Tournament losses to the Bucs. Likewise, former Furman head coach Niko Medvad was an assistant under Larry Davis' Furman as an assistant and recruiting coordinator in both the 2004 and '05 losses to ETSU.
--Sunday's matchup offers a chance between a pair of Volunteer State natives and the past two SoCon Player of the Year winners, in 2018 honoree Desonta Bradford (Humboldt, Tenn) and 2017 Malcolm U Pitt Award winner Devin Sibley (Knoxville, Tenn).
--The two teams split the regular-season series, with ETSU claiming a 62-61 win in Greenville on a Bradford tear-drop floater in the lane with 4.5 seconds to play, while Furman went on to a 79-76 win over the Bucs in Johnson City last Sunday, thanks to a key four-point play from Sibley with just over a minute remaining.
